The LIV golf tournament needed additional marquees for fans to gather, engage with activities, and enjoy the atmosphere at the JCB Golf and Country Club. Fews installed two structures to offer fans and children a comfortable and safe area to relax before, during and after the golf.
The prestigious event hosted in Uttoxeter, welcomed forty five thousand visitors and saw John Rahm secure the title. In fact, the 29-year-old Rahm earned two trophies, claiming his first individual title while also leading Legion XIII to its fourth team victory of the season.
These marquees needed to provide some weather protection, be easily accessible and reflect the branding of the Golf Tour. Fews supplied bespoke branded gables to each structure to provide identity and clear way finding for guests.
Time Constraints
The structures had to be installed within a short window, ensuring it was operational before the fit out teams completed the finishing touches.
Ordered just weeks before the event, the Fews team were soon on-site to design, plan and discuss the logistical challenges ahead of the installation proper.
Two premium marquee structures were chosen, providing ample space and cover for all activities. Built on 4m eaves, the main space gave a bright and airy feel for the activation space.
The fan zone and kids zone were both a success, providing guests with an enjoyable and engaging space to relax between viewing the main event.
