One of the events we think are best hosted inside a marquee is a birthday party and we’re excited to take you on a trip down memory lane inside 4 of our favourite ever birthday bashes we have worked on!

Dean wasn’t doing things by halves when it came to hosting his 50th birthday party, so he teamed up with party planners, Alfresco Trend Events and set about putting on a seriously impressive celebration for his friends and family.
A 25m glass wall premium structure with a clear roof was used for the main party venue, fitted with a black LED dance floor and black star cloth which created an incredible feature over the stage area. A mirrored bar was installed for a modern and contemporary feature and for those needing 5 minutes peace, a separate chill-out area was created. Beverley Knight took to the stage to entertain guests before a DJ got the party started.
We love a themed party and for her 21st, our customer, Georgie, decided to go back in time with a Midsummer Night’s Dream theme, brought to life by her party planners – Big Day in a Box.
We opted for a clear-span marquee, measuring 9m x 15m, finished with a black star cloth ceiling, parquet dance floor, crystal chandeliers and incredible lighting features, colouring the room in lilac, purple and green.
As well as a bar, a floral wall and bar furniture was also added to the inside of the marquee for guests to enjoy and finer details such as flowers and branded champagne flutes were the perfect finishing touches.
Matt went all out with his 18th birthday, getting a custom Alchemist bar installed inside a 9m x 15m clear-span marquee, installed by Fews Marquees.
Hosted on Matt’s families’ land, the marquee was finished with a black star cloth ceiling and black walls as well as being furnished with the bespoke bar, run by the Alchemist as well as leather sofas, wooden bar furniture and festoon lighting.
The classic Alchemist cocktails were mixed up on-site for Matt and his guests while great music kept the night going.
Our customer, Tamsin, didn’t expect snow to be such a huge factor when it came to hosting her birthday party in early March but luckily for her, the team at Fews are able to work in all weather conditions to bring your events to life.
The 12m x 39m clear-span marquee was erected at Chessgrove park, seeing a hexagonal entrance lined with silver drapes lead into a black star cloth ceiling for a dramatic contrast between the entrance, bar area and dance floor.
Boarding and carpeting were used for the flooring, as well as EC40 heaters to ensure this temporary venue was a comfortable temperature, despite the snow outside. A team of great suppliers came together to provide delicious food, great live entertainment and creative photography, making for a successful night for Tamsin’s 30th.
