Cheltenham Literary Festival

Marquees for The Cheltenham Literature Festival

The Cheltenham Literature Festival, one of the UK’s most prestigious literary events, hosts a variety of authors, speakers, and audiences in its annual celebration of literature. To accommodate its growing size and diverse programming, the festival relies on temporary marquee structures to create functional and versatile spaces for talks, book signings, and exhibitions.

For 2024, the festival expanded its use of marquees to better manage visitor numbers and enhance the event experience. Fews were selected to provide a range of structures, from smaller spaces for workshops to larger, high-capacity tents for café’s, panel discussions and author talks. These marquees were designed to complement the festival’s aesthetic while ensuring high levels of safety, comfort, and accessibility.

Our new PremiumMax structure was used for The Forum, and the unique Orangery as Times Square.

The marquees’ ability to adapt to different event needs, while maintaining a high standard of functionality, made them a key component in the festival’s overall success, contributing to its growth and reputation as a world-class literary event.
