The Cheltenham Science Festival is one of the quartet of events in Cheltenham’s round of world-class annual festivals. Running for five days during June, the festival boasts “Nothing is off limits at Cheltenham Science Festival. Every year we are joined by the world’s greatest scientists, futurologists and thought-leaders to help make sense of the world around us.” Fews were asked to provide five structures for the event to create the various zones, theatres and retail areas.
We provided a series of Clear-span Premium Structures to accommodate the Helix Theatre, Maker Shack, Discover Zone, Bookshop, GE Pavilion and the Maze. The sizes were as per the specification opposite. In each structure we provided cassette flooring, and used a combination of glass and ABS walling. Double doors with emergency exit bars were fitted to provide safe access.
